I am not a terrorist. I am not a hippie. I do not wish anyone in the United States Government harm, nor am I promoting violence. I am only utilizing a right that has been given to me by the U.S. Constitution.
The irony of the reactions I got after my last post was almost palpable. I should be careful what I say because the Government might see it? The concern is appreciated, but not needed. I know my rights. Other reactions from more conservative folk were more mocking, and generally disrespectful. These corporate lapdogs and followers of Glenn Beck were expected to take a largely irrational and demeaning approach to what I've put out in the open, and to me as well. They did not disappoint.
With that out of the way, on to current happenings. The Occupy Wall Street movement continues to pick up steam, despite police brutality and Republicans being (as always) dishonest and irrational. There's no end in sight, and no telling where this goes, but I'm personally hoping for drastic changes in the way that we deal with corporations, big business, and the general economy of this country. If the robber barons and tycoons of America who have driven it into ruin go bankrupt as a result, and without a government bailout to help them, then all the better. These men deserve to spend a few cold nights on the street.
On another note, one thing I have found hilarious about the recent news surrounding Occupy Wall St. has been the lack of a coherent and sensible reaction from the Republican Party. It's beginning to sound childish and may soon devolve into name calling and fights on the school playground. Lets take a look at some of the things they've been saying, shall we?
The Occupy Protesters are smoking pot. And? I don't personally partake in it, but who are we to judge?
The Occupy Protesters are having sex on their camp grounds. So sex is a bad thing now? Didn't think so.
The Occupy Protesters are a Nazi/Communist movement. Pick one, dumbass. The Nazi's were totalitarian fascists who actually wanted a piece of capitalism. They hated the communists.
The Occupy Protesters are hiding criminals! It can't really be helped if a few bad eggs slip in. Plus, these statements have been unfounded. Find proof, and we'll talk.
Conservatives being unreasonable and generally idiotic is entirely expected, but they're not the only ones at fault in the current movement. The democratic party, and particularly our modern age Jimmy Carter president, have done very little to throw their political weight behind the movement, or even reach out to them. It's shameful, if you ask me, and proof that even the Liberals rest securely in the pockets of Big Business.
It's time to step up, folks. Pick a side.

I'm a traitor, and I hope they're watching.
"You shouldn't say that! The government is listening!"
"You can't say things like that, they'll arrest you."
Raise your digital hands if you've ever been told anything like that. I have, and heard it constantly as I was growing up.
Ever since I've known how the political system worked, I knew that something was fundamentally wrong. My father always spoke of corporate corruption, payoffs of politicians, and (especially during the Bush Administration) privately owned presidents. At first, I thought it was just the Republicans, and I was happy with that assumption. I had an entity to direct my hatred at, something I could blame for why the middle class is struggling while the rich get richer. It's only been in the last few years that I've realized that it's not just democrats, or republicans, or Bush, or Obama... they're all in someones pocket.
We are not a nation ruled by democracy, we are a cattle farm controlled by the ever powerful dollar. Wall Street investors and big time bankers line their private jets with money ripped from the hands of the workers of this nation, and when things go bad, the U.S. government is there to bail them out, even as those same workers lose their jobs. This is an all out war on the middle class, the 99%, as the top 1% laugh and preach to us about the value of hard work.
That's why this wonderful and beautiful movement called "Occupy Wall St." has begun. Thousands of people nationwide have gathered together to voice their collective anger at the injustices that are being supported. They demand economic equality, an end to corporate greed, taxation of the rich, and a dismantling of the military industrial complex, among other things. These protests are peaceful, if disobedient, and are garnering the attention of the entire world. It is being referred to as the American Spring, a time of new beginnings and revolution in our great nation.
The demands of the protesters have been called impossible and lacking in focus, but I say that those demands are perfectly sound. The rich should be taxed, and heavily. Capitalism should be regulated so these robber barons can't exist. Most of all, our politicians and elected officials, those men and women who WE put in place to represent US, should be forcefully ripped from cash-lined pockets.
And if these demands aren't met, there should be dire consequences. When confronted with a broken system, we should burn it to the ground and start over.
There, I said it. And if some government counter terrorism prick has nothing better to do than read this blog, and wants to report it to some other prick that wants to throw me in the back of a van, then fuck you. You've just proved my point.
I'd also like to add that the police reactions to these protests have been nothing short of extreme. People are getting needlessly arrested, beaten, tazed, sprayed, and worse just for speaking their minds. Do a google search of the Occupy Boston movement and you'll see what I mean. These "law enforcement" pigs, and anyone else who supports their actions, should be ashamed of themselves, because we're all ashamed of you.
Finally, and this may sound a little rude, but Glenn Beck is an absolute waste of human life. His recent comments regarding the Occupy Wall St. movement have been blatant lies and pure yellow journalism. According to Beck, these protesters are going to drag the rich out of their homes and execute them. We'll have mass killings, a hostile takeover, and a new totalitarian government. Seriously Glenn? Are you that fucking stupid? If you're right, and this movement does turn violent, I hope they show up at your door first.
In closing on my inaugural blog I'd like to state that I'm tired of being quiet, I'm sick of watching what I say about the government. Screw the system. The people protesting in New York, Boston, Chicago, and everywhere else in this country are RIGHT, and if you don't agree, seriously consider playing in traffic.
